Replace the Filter

Once the filter cleaning has been done, you need to replace it in its position perfectly. The replacement is a very simple task so you don't need to be in a rush while doing it.

First, place the lower filter at the bottom of the dishwasher tub. After placing it correctly, it would be under the tubs entirely and the upper filter will come in line with the round opening quickly.

Now, it's time to return the upper filter, make sure the arrow on it is in line with the lower filter’s arrow. Turn the upper filter clockwise until it has stopped gliding in. If you notice any movement in this filter, it means that it has not been sealed correctly. So, check and readjust it in place.

Ensure that the filters are sealed properly. Don't run your Whirlpool dishwasher without confirming that the filter is locked. Loose filters may damage the dishwasher as well as the drain. Once the filter assembly replacement has been done, it will run smoothly and the dishwasher as well. However, it's a good thing to check the manufacturer's instructions before going to start filter replacing.
