This drum belt, often referred to as a drive belt, is used in the assembly of dryers. It goes around the drum, the idler pulley, and the motor pulley. As the armature on the motor spins, this belt is what rotates the drum and tumbles your clothes during the dry cycle. On both electric and gas models, a belt is used to rotate the dryer drum. This thin, long belt wraps around the drum and pulley and drives the dryer motor.
