The door boot is also known as the bellow, the door seal, or sometimes the door gasket. It acts as a rubber-spring isolator to reduce vibrations. It works as a rubber bellows actuator to easily take out the clothing from inside the machine. If your door seal has blackened beyond what cleaning can fix or is old and damaged, it can be replaced.
